DUO RECITAL

Darius Milhaud: Scaramouche - 3. Brazileira
Sebastian Lambertz (Clarinet), Nenad Lečić (Piano), SooA Kim (Visual Art)

The chamber music literature for clarinet and piano is still the center of Sebastian Lambertz’ attention and love. The repertoire ranges from classic-romantic standard pieces to unknown and new pieces and interesting transcriptions. The proximity and accessibility to the audience is Sebastian Lambertz major concern – in short introductions he gives insights into the background of pieces and into his personal perspective on the interpretation.

Sebastian Lambertz is musically at home in both “old“ and “new world“ traditions, collaborating  with musicians on both continents. Nenad Lečić is his constant duo partner for his European chamber music projects – in the US it is Mariko Furukawa, who works at Julliard school as an accompanist in classes for violin, viola and clarinet.

SPECIAL PROJECT
Clarinet & DJ
Through this innovative concert format Sebastian Lambertz reaches newcomers and admirers of classical music as well as a new and young audience. Whereas the first half of the concert is purely classical, the encounter of “Clarinet & DJ“ gives impetus to the second half of the concert and provides entertainment. He connects the two seemingly contrasting parts of the concert through the legendary piece “New York Counterpoint“ by Steve Reich, accompanied by his own recording of the work. This concept brings classical music even to non-classical ears!
